Since the image will be scaled to a 100x100, it’s not that important that the cutout is top notch. If the cutout is looking alright, move on, if not, fix it. Add a white background by creating a new layer, filling it with white using the bucket tool, and moving it to the bottom. Then, still on the layer mask, go to Filters>Blur>Gaussian blur, put it at 3. Use the bucket tool and fill the selection with black, making sure that there’s a white edge around the layer mask (if you haven’t changed anything, there is). Then go to the menus at the top, marking/selection and then invert the selection. When you’ve marked all around (just make sure that it’s all around, and that the ends go outside the picture), click ~marking from path (idk what it’s actually called, my GIMP’s in swedish). Basically zoom in, click and drag around the circle, and for roundedness click ctrl and move the square, which will create a bend. This is what we’re going to use for the cutting out. Then, in the left dialogue window click the paths tool. In the right dialogue box, right-click and create a layermask. Then sze it down to 300 or something, more scaling will be done later. Don’t do anything fancy, just cut out the head, basically. Step 3: Click on the cutting out tool on the left dialogue box, and click for fixed aspect ration and set the aspect ratio as 1:1. Step 1: Get your image, from fansites or or somewhere else. But it should at the very least work on cc.įor other cc creators out there… the cheat ‘help’ lists all available cheats you can use in s4s.
#TUMBLR GIMP TUTORIALS MODS#
This is a game changer for sure! One note, I don’t use mods like MCCC or anything so I am not sure if this works on broken mods. Enter ’ resource.find ’ and it will tell you what package file it is. Open up sims 4 studio (ensure it is the latest version) and hit ctrl+shift+c, just like in sims, to pop up the cheat command window. You should get a resource number (or multiple) from this. So how this would work is you would take your lastexception file spit out by the game and use to spit out what the errors are. Can be useful when a lastException.txt contains a resource instance of a piece of broken content. Locates the package containing a particular instance id in the Mods folder. There are lots in here, but there is one cheat you can use to debug your cc: As of the latest release () you can now use the cheat ‘help’ which displays a list of all the available cheats in S4S. I have known there were cheats you could use in it, but not all of them so I requested a list from the admins.
#TUMBLR GIMP TUTORIALS HOW TO#
Now onto how to find broken cc… I think this should eliminate the 50/50 method in most cases! I extensively use sims 4 studio (S4S) to create my cc. Find my stuff on my tumbler, instagram or in my subreddit r/ravasheen I post WIP and take requests/incorporate feedback etc!! Config file previously downloaded can be kept, though I've renamed the uploaded file to reflect those changes.įirst a plug: I create maxis-match style cc, specializing in modular/customizable furniture.
#TUMBLR GIMP TUTORIALS UPDATE#
Please redownload the add-on and update your Reshade. 📌 UPDATE : changed add-on requirements from REST 1.2.0 to 1.2.1 as well as minor adjustments to the overall post. I've created a setting for each of them so make sure to read and grab the correct version.Īlso, I won't be mentioning GShade anymore (for future reshade related topics) as it's easier to write about things I have access to. There are 2 versions of this add-on: one that is compatible with Reshade 5.2+ and one that only works with Reshade 5.8.0 🆕. If you find this useful, do share the word around and tag me! All I ask is that you link back here if you want to share outside of tumblr :-) And yes, you can use both add-ons at the same time!

This time, it will feature the ReshadeEffectShaderToggler add-on, or REST for short, which will be used to prevent shaders from affecting certain parts of the game. This is a companion tutorial to my No More CAS UI & More post so if you haven't seen that tutorial yet then I highly recommend reading it first as the installation process is practically the same and a lot of information there will sound familiar here.
